Code of Conduct
1.Introduction
Code Of Conduct Policy
The purpose of this code is to assist members and guests of Kilnamanagh Family Recreation Centre (KFRC) to know and understand the standard of behaviour expected and shall apply at all times when at the centre. This policy should be read in conjunction with the Articles of Association of the club.
2. Code of Conduct.
As a member of KFRC a certain standard of behaviour is expected that reflects the basic requirements of courtesy and respect to be shown to all members, volunteers, staff and guests.
A person (or their guests) engaging in any behaviour that may be in breach of the code of conduct should be reported to the executive committee in writing or via email ONLY to the Chairman at chair@kfrc.ie It is in the best interest of the centre that such behaviour is reported and all members and guests are encouraged to report such behaviour.
3. Complaints Procedure
Complaints may be made by any person including members of staff, members, visiting guests and members of the public. Complaints must be made in the first instance via writing or email to the executive committee. The complaint may be then be assigned to a sub-committee for investigation and/or decision. The relevant Committee will be responsible for keeping all parties involved informed about the complaint process
4. Grading of the complaints.
All complaints are to be graded standard or severe. This is done by reference to Appendix 1 and the following notes. The relevant committee are required to determine the grading of the offence. The grading allocated will determine the action to be taken and the potential penalty a member may receive. Therefore consistency of grading across offences is important and it is a requirement that records are kept to support the grading process. On some occasions, the relevant Committee may not recommend a grading because of the seriousness of an incident and may have to consult with An Garda Siochana.
5.Decisions and Penalties
Any disciplinary action can be subject to clause 8 of the Articles of Association.
